History of the fund

“Aurum Charitable Foundation of Alyona Lebedeva” was registered in 2017 in order to legally formalize already existing charitable activities, which were provided by employees and companies belonging to the Aurum Group investment and industrial group of companies. For example, The Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Infectious Disease Hospital received over 150,000 aid. UAH for repair work and material and technical support even before the official registration of the fund. This initiative was the response of Aurum Group employees and the company’s founder Alyona Lebedeva personally to the real needs of the social life of Ukrainians at that time. The team learned about these needs because the grandson of one of the managers was admitted to this hospital.

From 2017 to 2019, the already officially registered charity fund of Alyona Lebedeva “Aurum” focused its activities on improving the material and technical condition of state and communal medical institutions of Ukraine. Thus, in 2018, wards were repaired in Kyiv City Children’s Hospital No. 1, for which UAH 295,823 was allocated, as well as UAH 44,504 for the purchase of medical beds and sailors. In 2019, repairs were carried out in the Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 4 in the Solomyansk district for the amount of 337,009 hryvnias. All proceeds to the fund in 2018-2019. were only at the expense of the fund’s owner Alyona Lebedeva.

In the future, from 2019, the needs of Ukraine’s social processes have changed, and with it, the activities of the fund have also changed. From that time to the present day, even after the invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, personal assistance was provided to newborn children who needed expensive operations in the first weeks of life, or to children whose families could not cover the costs of treatment. At first, help was provided from fund to fund, for example, in 2019 BVO “Mother and Baby” received UAH 45,000 from the “Aurum” fund, and later Alyona Lebedeva personally sent money to parents for such operations. The personal format accelerated the process of organizing surgical operations. In 2019 – 2022, such regular assistance was primarily provided quickly and efficiently, in order to increase the child’s chances of a fulfilling life in the future.

With the beginning of the war, the fund’s activities were transformed into the promotion of the protection of the civilian population and assistance to the Armed Forces. Military equipment, additional equipment, vehicles – this is what helps our defenders to be more mobile, to save their lives and health, and to liberate the occupied territories faster. Also, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the fund has turned into a space for volunteer activities and initiatives to support those who stood up for the defense of Ukraine. In this format, more than 1,000 slab carriers (200 of which were with slabs) were transferred for the year 2022 for a total amount of more than 2.5 million. UAH Also, this year, the military from the Armed Forces were provided with 5 cars, including an ambulance, for a total amount of about 1 million. UAH And also Aurum, together with partners and friends, held many events in 2022 that covered the needs of waste disposal in the regions on the basis of local enterprises of the Aurum Group for a total amount of more than 3 million.
